The world of healthcare is continually evolving. For professionals, this means that they must possess certain skill sets. In the case of graduate nurses, these issues are becoming more pronounced with the increasing demand which is placed on them. Training programs are effective in helping organizations to become responsive to the different challenges they are facing. To improve the effectiveness of them requires assessing specific psychomotor skills. This will be accomplished by developing an evaluation plan, identifying test objectives, defining parameters of the evaluation, the psychomotor skills they must possess, the steps, assigned weighting, grading rubric, passing scores and grading parameters. Together, these elements will highlight the best avenues for training graduate nurses about the challenges they are facing and the skills they must utilize. (Kovner, 2011)

Psychomotor skills are focusing on the way the mind interprets information and how the individual reacts. At the heart of this analysis, is a focus on the education they received, their movements and reactions. This is used to decide if the person is following the most acceptable practices when interacting with patients. In this case, there will be an emphasis on some of the most basic tasks nurses will perform routinely. The most notable include: taking the blood pressure, placing intravenous lines and administering medication. These skills are necessary as they will help to improve quality and reduce the chances of seeing complications. This is the point, when graduate nurses will be more professional and capable of adapting with the different challenges they are facing.

The evaluation plan is focusing on how the students can understand the way their thoughts and training will impact stakeholders. This will occur by having basic instruction that is augmented with practice sessions and real world events. These variables will teach them flexibility and improve their capacity to troubleshoot critical challenges early. (Noe, 2013)

This involves practice learning. Under the program, everyone is given additional training using the traditional classroom, interactive instruction and monitoring / participating in real life experiences. At the end of each module, is when the students will go through a series of written and practical exams. The basic idea is to show what they learned in the classroom and demonstrate these abilities on their own through performing different skills. The result is that everyone will be more confident in their abilities and will have a greater sense of empowerment. For graduate nurses, this will create positive associations that shows them the best techniques when utilizing various psychomotor skills. In the future, this will impact how they perform on the job and the attitudes which are embraced. (Noe, 2013)

During the process, there will be an emphasis on the importance of following numerous procedures and the impact it can have on the patient. This offers graduate nurses with insights about the challenges impacting their colleagues and how they can adjust with them. At the end of the module, is when everyone will complete a written exam. This involves using multiple choice and two essay questions. A passing score is 75% and above. (Kovner, 2011)

Interactive instruction is when the students will see the proper techniques using various online and technology related solutions. Participating in real life programs is when students will work in an actual healthcare setting. This means watching and applying specific skill sets that are utilized in conjunction with different professionals. In this case, the basic idea is to help them understand the environment and the challenges they will face when performing specific psychomotor skills. At the end of the module, students will go through an online and practical exam. The online portion involves using different videos to understand what is happening and the longer term implications. The practical exam is where everyone will apply what they learned by conducting an actual demonstration. This will prepare them for the next learning module with a passing score is 75% and above. (Kovner, 2011)

A good example of this can be seen with insights from Kovner (2011). He found that the environment will have a dramatic impact on the attitudes that are embraced by graduate nurses. This is because they will observe and react in a way that is conducive to atmosphere. Once this occurs, is the point they can use their experiences to have a better understanding for applying specific motor skills. The basic steps the learners are required to perform include: their capacity to memorize / apply critical ideas on their own, practicing these techniques to reduce errors and using them in a real world situation with distractions. Those who meet these guidelines will improve their proficiency and performance. (Harrington, 2008) The weightings will have different rankings. The most notable include: 25% (for their capacity to memorize / apply critical ideas on their own), 30% (practicing these techniques to reduce errors) and 45% (utilizing them in a real world situation with distractions). (Masters, 2013)

The grading rubric will focus on how well the person applies specific skills. It will be tested on the following rankings to include: unsatisfactory, average, above average and excellent. Anyone who has a rating of average or above are reaching the minimum score of 75%.(Masters, 2013)

The passing score of 75% is challenging enough to force everyone to work and apply what they learn. However, it is not to difficult to achieve these larger objectives. The grading rubric is focusing on how well they apply specific psychomotor skills on their own. The parameters are focusing on what the person learned, how they applied it and their ability to adjust with a host of challenges. (Masters, 2013)

The basic criterion is to determine how well the person is understanding and applying specific concepts. This means that the written exam will evaluate how well they are learning key concepts. While the practical exam is analyzing how effectively they are applying specific psychomotor skills. According to Watson (2011), these areas are some of the most basic techniques for improving quality and alleviating suffering. This is occurring by concentrating on a number of areas. The most notable include: practicing kindness, cultivating spiritual practices, being supportive, teaching, creating a healing environment, assisting with basic needs and allowing for open miracles to occur. In this situation, the theory is a credo for everyone to follow. This requires focusing on the patient's condition, educating them and alleviating suffering. The criterion and exam are designed to instill the highest levels of competencies. In this case, the standard is high enough to ensure that everyone is following these guidelines. However, it is also reducing the levels of evaluation and the effects it is having. (Watson, 2011)

These findings are illustrating the way the plan can change the attitudes and culture in the hospital. For both ethical and legal viewpoints, these practices will make certain there is a high degree of professionalism. As a result, the most likely outcome is that this will lead to an improvement in quality. This is when errors will decline, with everybody embracing this theory to achieve a host of objectives.
