Questionnaire assessment of hand washing procedure instruction

¶ … washing procedures. The questionnaire will be comprised of questions that include the steps presented in the hand washing procedure. Included in these questions will be the following questions:

(1) Were all rings and watches removed?

(2) Was water flow adjusted and hands wet completely?

(3) Was one teaspoon of liquid handsoap dispensed into palm of hand and brought to a lather?

(4) Were hands scrubbed by using a brush and were fingers washed between?

(5) Were fingernails cleaned under?

(6) Were palms and wrists scrubbed/

(7) What was the total time for scrubbing hands?

(8) Were hands rinsed in lukewarm water for 10 seconds?

(9) Were hands dried with paper towels from hands to wrists?

(10) Was paper towel used to turn off water?

The questionnaire will measure the effectiveness of the instruction provided on hand washing through assessing the participants understanding of the proper hand washing procedures.

Entrepreneurship

Ehmke and Boehlje (2005) report that there is evidence to indicate that benefits are realized by firms in business planning and specifically as new ventures are assessed as they begin. However, there are only a small number of firms who use business planning. (paraphrased) Beginning a new adventure is deeply ingrained into the process of the entrepreneur and the requirements for the entrepreneur include the identification, evaluation, and development of a potential opportunity. The entrepreneur must therefore identify and then evaluate any new opportunity and develop a business plan. This involves the identification of resources that are required followed by management of the enterprise at focus.

III. Technical Knowledge and Skills

The ACPA ASK Project in its Assessment Skills and Knowledge Content Standards for Students Affairs Practitioners and Scholars states that "the articulation and assessment of student learning has been especially challenging given the complex psychosocial and cognitive constructs that are the hallmarks of our work with students." (p.1) Stated as mess constructs are such as "s leadership, citizenship, appreciation for diversity, critical and ethical judgment, and a host of interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligences present unique measurement issues." (ACPA ASK Project, 2006, p.1) Publications are reported as being assistive in nature however, lacking is an agreement and clear articulation of the specific content areas and necessary proficiencies to ensure that students are assessing required learning outcomes. Reported as Assessment Skills and Knowledge content areas are those stated as follows:

IV. The Assessment Process

The assessment process takes into consideration many variables that should be involved in the assessment, which is a diagnostic process. This process uses various tools, instruments and procedures and the use of these being dependent upon the assessment itself in terms of what is being specifically assessed and the outcome or results that are needed in terms of reporting. As well, the assessment process is dependent upon the types of students that are to be assessed. The factors of validity, reliability, flexibility, and fairness must all be assured to conduct proper assessment that is of a valid nature. Performance assessments are best practice since they reveal the true nature of the student's cognitive ability and knowledge of procedures.
