Furthermore, even television itself has become less popular, as more consumers are turning to streaming web-based content to get their visual 'fix.' Consumers have become more rather than less beholden to using the computer to get their news, entertainment, and downloadable music, and satellite radio came about at the wrong time, culturally and economically, to become a ubiquitous part of the American cultural firmament.
