This engagement is reported to be highly valuable to most students as they connect with one another on relevant classroom topics as applied to life contexts. E-learning in the graduate teaching setting has changed the paradigm of student teaching as well. During group discussion instructors have found student to become personally quite open during these dialogues and, more often than not, exceed word count requirements as well as the number of required posting each week due to interest level and a draw to connect with others. When collaborative projects groups are assigned the flexibility offered through an online program proves to be of great benefit as many traditional constraints are lifted. For an online student scheduling is as simple as agreeing upon a time to meet ( and turning on the camera and plugging in the headset), regardless of the physical location or cost of fossil fuels. Marketing Plan for New DBA Program at South University
South University is introducing a new course; a doctorate of business administration (DBA) with a focus on organizational behavior. The course is to be offered online, as well as locations near to the existing campuses throughout the south of the country. For the course to be successful, it is essential the University is able to market the course, to gain sufficient attendees. This document is a basic marketing plan to support this new course. Any effective marketing plan will start by specifying the goals and then conducting a situation analysis, before moving on to identification of the target market (Quick MBA, 2016). The development of the marketing strategy is then developed based on the needs and profile the target, and aligned with the existing situation (Quick MBA, 2016).

A critical approach can enhance a naturalistic one also, by showing how race, class, gender, and social power influence self-esteem and motivation to learn.
3.If respected authority from each of the three approaches (classical, naturalistic, or critical) were invited to your agency to evaluate your agency's educational programs, what advice would each give to your agency? How would your agency likely respond to such advice?
A classical theorist would hold a formal seminar during which each participant would be given handouts. Handouts would include lists and outlines of suggested courses of action. A presentation would accompany the lecture, after which seminar participants would be allowed to ask questions in a traditional format. The authority would evaluate my agency's educational programs in terms of quantitative data. Assessment measures would guide further action. Most subjective input would be politely dismissed. The authority would ask program directors to come up with a formal…… [Read More]
So, in those regards the curriculum is slowly catching up with the times. Personally, I would like to see additions such as a playing of the movie, "The Business of Being Born" at one of the sessions or as homework.
The second way that the curriculum should change within the next three years is to begin allowing more nurses to become certified teachers. Currently, it is easier for a parent to become a coach than it is for a nurse. The reason, according to Bradley, is that the parents have direct experience, whereas nurses only have book-related experience. In fact, Bradley does offer the option for nurses to become a teacher, but additional reading and exam requirements must be met.
Personally, I find it to be in the best interest of Bradley to offer their curriculum with open arms to nurses for one simple reason: the more nurses who know…… [Read More]
Value of a BA Degree
The Value of BA Degrees
Would you say this statement is "True" or "False"? Too many people are going to college these days. Many experts in business say that the statement is true. People once thought that college degrees were the most important advantage that people could attain through their own efforts (uiz 2011). But the situation is changing. A look at employees and entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley underscores a more pessimistic and sobering view of college education (uiz 2011). People who work in technical jobs without the benefit of formal coursework in higher education can be free to follow their interests and creativity (uiz 2011). These new technology experts don't need to get locked into boring corporate jobs that pay well in order to pay off enormous student loan debt burdens (uiz 2011). The cost of higher education keeps rising and there are those…… [Read More]

BSN Degree: Pathway to Professional Nursing
BSN Pros and Cons
Nursing education goals must adapt to changes in healthcare policy in order to better serve the needs of patients. Beginning in 1965, the American Nurses Association took a position that promoted academic degree programs as a way to foster the development of an autonomous nursing profession. This position necessarily rejected the value of the hospital-based diploma programs in existence at the time. This policy was based on the perceived need to improve the quality of patient care by creating professional nurses trained to take on a variety of roles, including healthcare management, nursing education, and nursing research. Although there is real value in earning an associate degree in nursing, the BSN degree is the requisite entry point for anyone interested in professional nursing and the many roles that entails. The BSN degree is also a prerequisite for further career development…… [Read More]

The efficacy of learning in a purely online format, from email and even from streaming web lectures is questionable when compared to an interactive seminar format, and learning from students face-to-face outside of class. Finally, fellowships and assistantships are wonderful 'resume builders' for a new graduate in the field and learning opportunities in and of themselves. The anxiety of the pressures a full-time employer might place upon me during my education was the final 'tipping point' that prompted me to reject online education for graduate study.

This trait is particularly common in the areas of staff tutoring and contractor training. Several of these non-credit courses are quite popular for their flexibility in meeting the demands of the prospective workforce students as well as the demands of their employers. Important questions have been raised about traditional colleges due to the growth of this sector; these questions include the efficiency of colleges in utilizing resources and how well access is being provided for their (colleges) students. Answering the questions raised above will likely challenge state policies and practices at colleges, although analysing the effects of this program may be a herculean task due to the absence of data on activities as basic as admissions and acceptance in community college non-credit workforce education. Defining an e-Marketing Plan for MGSM
From the competitive analysis, MGSM has significant competition regionally and nationally in the area of certificates. There are several lessons learned from this competitive analysis however which can make MGSM's Certificate program more competitive. First, MGSM needs to realize that there is a continuum of pragmatism vs. prestige that certificate programs align to, as is seen in the competitive analysis completed. The use of accreditation is the foundational element of all successful educational marketing programs (Cornuel, 2007) and MGSM needs to use this as the foundation of their e-marketing planning efforts. Accreditation is a measure of credibility in academic markets (Cornuel, 2007). MGSM needs to define accreditation levels for each of its certificate programs to attain the highest level of credibility possible. Second, MGSM needs to develop a specific, defensible niche of…… [Read More]

ADN vs. BSN
The ADN vs. The BSN:
A comparison of both nursing degrees
Students wishing to enter the profession of nursing are often faced with two clear choices: that of an ADN (associate degree in nursing) and a BSN (Bachelor of Science nursing degree). An ADN generally takes two years and is often offered by a community college or state school. As a result, it is substantially cheaper than a four-year BSN. Obtaining an ADN still allows a nurse to sit for the NCLEX-N. "The coursework of an associate's degree in nursing covers the following general subjects: fundamentals of nursing, infection control, nutrition and dietetics, basic microbiology, basic medical nursing, pediatric nursing, and more" ("What you need to know," 2014). It should be noted that an ADN does not have to be a terminal degree and there are ADN 'bridge' programs that allow practicing nurses currently possessing…… [Read More]
Distance learning is a new scheme or mode of transferring and acquiring learning or education through the use of modern technology between instructor and student who are separated by time and space. It can be between schools, between schools and colleges and universities, within school buildings and districts or between individuals (urke, 2002).
Is earliest prototype was the international correspondence in the 19th century. In the 1970s, it reshaped into open universities, later into the 1980's wave of technological products, such as the videotape, broadcast, satellite and cable. In the 1990s, rey (as qtd in urke) predicted that distance education programs would phenomenally grow that decade to an extent that most of the people the U.S. would be served by it at the minimal ratio of 1:1, mostly in the community colleges. Right enough by 1994, 80% of community colleges in the U.S. began offering some form of distance education…… [Read More]

One of the most fascinating aspects about pursuing a degree in engineering is that, although engineering is applied science and mathematics, it is, in many ways also a very isolated academic discipline. Engineers tend to be separate from other students, do not have the same core class requirements as other students or freedom to pick elective courses as other students, and must develop their degree plans at an earlier time period than students pursuing other degree programs. This focus gives a rigidity that allows engineers to graduate from universities in a unique position. When one looks at groups of highly respected professionals, engineers who have obtained only their bachelor's degrees are perceived by many people to be among the ranks of professionals with graduate degrees, in part because people understand that an undergraduate education in an engineering discipline differs in tone, rigor, and depth from an…… [Read More]
Program for the Mentally Ill Homeless Population
This research project is an attempt to determine if a community-based program serving the mentally ill homeless population has met its goal of reducing hospitalizations for acute psychiatric episodes. An attempt to identify the elements that define the difference in this program will be identified and evaluated. The literature shows that treating the mentally ill homeless population is especially difficult in terms of building lasting relationships based on trust. The population tends to move from one area to another within the city and become elusive when they are looked for. This program will be evaluated for its effectiveness in preventing hospitalizations for acute psychiatric episodes, the usefulness of case managing, including ensuring clients have and are taking their medications and whether this program has been more successful than traditional programs in finding permanent housing for it's clients.

programs have their supporters and detractors. The first and most obvious objection to getting an MBA is its expense. More and more undergraduates have student loan debt, and piling debt upon debt in a weak economic environment can be dangerous. However, most MBA programs require or at least expect students to have some sort of work experience before embarking upon the program. Students thus have hopefully accrued some savings. They also are likely to have a good idea of what they want to study in the program and their future goals, given their experience in their desired specialty. Unlike law schools, which have been criticized as holding pens for recent graduates without a clear career direction, to apply to an MBA program, a student must make a persuasive case for his or her potential to succeed in a hands-on field. Education is an important quality that can be very beneficial to any given profession. The specialization of education in today's world serves purposes and offers new challenges. This is most evident when comparing the differences in competencies between nurses prepared at the associate-degree level (AND)versus the baccalaureate degree level (BSN). The purpose of this essay is to describe these differences and compare their varying tendencies and qualities. Additionally, this essay will address a patient care situation that highlights how nursing care may differ upon the educational level of the nursing professional.
The associates degree earned in a nursing education allows that individual to contribute to the medical profession and minimize the educational requirements to do so. While some may consider this a short cut and not going the full distance, there are good reasons that these programs are offered and thousands of people participate in them.

Youth Development Empirical Study
There are numerous programs that currently exist which allege to benefit youths and youth development. Many of these programs are attempting to address the fact that children and adolescents directly represent the future. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare youths for a future world in which they become leaders, decision makers, and ultimately, stewards of the planet and of society itself. Nonetheless, there are a variety of ways of attempting to equip youths for their leadership of the coming generation. One can argue that it does little good to merely create a new generation of workers to fill the same positions that exist in society today, which only perpetuates the social inequality and problems that plague the current generation. Instead, it is more advantageous to empower youths by giving them the tools and experience they need to think for themselves and address the problems of society…… [Read More]

I want to continue in my studies because I know that to excel in my career, I must graduate and continue with an advanced degree, and this is part of my plan for the future. I hope to teach, to make a difference with my students, and to continue with my education to learn and grow as much as possible. I think that education is the key to the future, for both my future students and me, and so, continuing my education is a…… [Read More]
I am guided by a strong sense of ethics. During my work in Riyadh as a project engineer, I was faced with a situation where I had to balance the need for worker safety against a project that due to rising costs was headed over budget. Legally, I was under little obligation to protect the safety of the workers, many of whom were migrants from other countries.
However, that was something I simply could not do. I wish to be a leader, and good leaders do not corrupt their values for a quick fix. This situation forced me to be more creative in order to keep the project within budget and I was able to achieve this by renegotiating terms with some of my company's key vendors.

In terms of value conflict, I don't think there will be any in when providing services to those who are vulnerable. Instead, I believe that the placing the welfare of others above my own is an overarching value that I have in my life, which is essential and should be inherent in any social-work professional and practitioner.

As with any other behaviors they are taught in school, pro-social behaviors must be reinforced at home (U.S. Department, 2011). Practicing with the child can go a long way toward developing an understanding of acceptable behavior. Many parents leave this up to the school, but children generally want to emulate what they see at home. As they move into pre-school and learn new ways to interact with people, those ways should be encouraged at home. This will help the family dynamics, and will also help the pre-school teachers who are looking for ways to ensure that order is kept in their classrooms.
When parents talk to their children about what they have learned that day, and when they correct their children when they make a social faux pas, they are helping their children learn valuable lessons that those children will use all throughout their school years and into adulthood (U.S.…… [Read More]

The Value Today of Pursuing a Graduate Degree in the Humanities
Even prospective college applicants to undergraduate institutions of learning are encouraged today, to market themselves on their applications as 'products' of value. They make it unabashedly clear that they are potential human dividends that will return the university's investment in their education, in the form of high ratings in U.S. News and World Report College rankings as well as in alumni contributions. The competitive nature of the job market has also caused many current college students to view the attainment of a degree as simply another bullet point on their resume, rather than a holistic learning experience. Those who do go onto graduate school increasingly chose to pursue professionally oriented or technically oriented, specialized degrees, such as an MBA, a JD, or even a MA in educational technology. In such an environment, what is the value and…… [Read More]
