Abstract The rising rates of obesity in Australia have been a thorn in the flesh for the federal government, the civil society, and other stakeholders alike. The country currently ranks fourth in the world, with an obese population that exceeds a quarter of the total. Various stakeholders have devised policies and strategies aimed at curbing the spread of obesity and overweight. This text explores one such strategy – the government’s ‘fat tax’ proposal. It examines the arguments both for, and against the proposal, from an Australian Medical Association (AMA) point of view, and gives a personal stand on the same.

Although depression is a mental problem, its causes vary as presented in this scenario. This study has succinctly shown how and individual with some oral health problem can be drawn into a serious depression problem. Evidently, oral health problem contributes to quality of life, general health, and self-esteem. This is a three page paper analyzing a book of choice, and that book was not mentioned but was selected with optimal goals of efficiency and wellness. The book is The Spirit Catches You and You Fall down, and is a great book used widely in health care settings and all other settings in which the book's principles may be applicable to the betterment of humanity and daily life for all people.
