The exhibit of my choice for the research essay is the film Fight Club. It is a screen adaptation of a novel of the same title; therefore, the novel will be referenced as well. While the focus of the paper will be upon Fight Club, in an effort to expand the context of the ideas to be discussed, the essay will also include analysis of a related Spanish film, Abre Los Ojos (Open Your Eyes). This film preceded the release of Fight Club by two years and went on to later be adapted for an American audience under the title, Vanilla Sky, starring Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, and Penelope Cruz, who is cast as the same character, Sofia, in both versions of the film. The paper will discuss these films, questions they raise, and ideas they execute in relation to Doniger's piece, "Many Masks, Many Selves."

. The Skeptics view anxiety as arising from the inability to ascertain right or wrong through the use of reason. Anxiety also arises through an immoderation in affect in the apprehension of the reality of evident things. Freedom from anxiety can be achieved by ceasing to ascertain reality of non-evident things through reason and to withhold judgment in such situations. According to the Epicureans, anxiety arises from an apprehension of an individual's inability to control events in life. The anxiety is exacerbated through belief in myths about gods. It can be reduced when human beings take actions to increase necessary natural desires in order to increase pleasure over pain. According to the Stoics, anxiety is created when individuals do not act in compliance with the laws of nature. Individuals need to achieve harmony with nature and adapt to the events that cannot be controlled by human effort. The anxiety can be reduced by acting according to the rules of nature. It may seem a rational approach to life because it helps to distinguish between when human beings are capable of influencing their own lives and when they are not. By this approach they can seek ways to achieve the end of mental tranquility.

The current paper outlines the case of Tom, an 18 year old goalkeeper who recently moved up in class from youth to adult football. Tom has a history of being confident in his abilities as a goalkeeper and had the reputation of being one of the most proficient goalkeepers at youth level.. Since stepping up to adult football, Tom has realised he has a major weakness when striking balls that are passed back to him on his non-preferred left foot. The paper discusses the variables involved and uses the principles of motor skill training to outline a program for Tom.

The most vital lesson in expressions of Hedge Fund Risk Management comes from the inadequate name of this kind of alternative investment that is an alternative: The notion that all methodical risks are differentiated away is not really applicable here, with the Hedge Fund returns, in realism, representing a mixture of superior administration of market inadequacies and cognizant contact to some exact systematic risks. Simply the methodical risks that are "unwanted" from a strategic standpoint are expanded away. So, hedge funds, in actual fact, are not completely hedged. This study examines the various research designs and methods in qualitative research studies including those of the ethnography, the case study, the grounded theory as well as others. Qualitative research is descriptive and interpretive in nature. Qualitative research and especially the case study method has a long and a distinguished history.

The paper focuses on the personality and works of Thomas Paine. The primary focus of the paper was on Paine's efforts during the American Revolution as well as the time that led up to the crisis. The paper also highlights his role both in the American and French community at the time.

This is a series of questions regarding a wide variety of topics dealing with geology. Questions include issues about the food chain, about different spheres of the earth, about the difference between geologic and biological study, and the potential danger of an impending ice age. Each question had a unique issue except for the final two which were related.

This type of writing makes the readers actually feel, see and hear what has been felt, seen and heard by the writer. This writing could describe anything such as a person, place or any other entity. The main purpose of the writer is to reveal its subject by careful selection of details. It is often seen that description involves a single personality or entity and how it changed its surroundings through its own actions or by other's actions on itself. The main aim is often to put the reader on the place of subject entity so that the reader could see the world from its perspective.

Water is an important natural resource upon which all the living beings rely for their existence and growth. Nature has blessed the earth with uncountable water resources but usable quantity is limited. Hence, it is important to use water sparingly. The irony is, human activities result is high water pollution which further shortens the water supply for use.
