The question of gender violence in relationships, particularly violent crimes perpetrated against females, has been the focus of media as well as criminological and psychological investigation in recent years.

By increasing domestic violence victim safety and well-being, enabling accessibility of the Domestic Violence Court process to enhance victim participation in the legal system, and building knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence, and providing community and social service resources referrals as appropriate, prevention and intervention strategies for domestic violence will lead to program success. The lives of the abused will improve with a community approach to an ongoing problem. Insomuch, providing hope can ameliorate a real problem that affects real people.

This paper addresses Social Welfare Congressional Legislation regarding Violence against Women Act Bill # S.47. This paper starts by addressing the local mayor and providing a Brief overview of legislation. Subsequently, the paper addresses the social problem the law seeks to resolve and how the law is aimed to help ease and resolve the current issues.

Sexual harassment in public places and especially at offices is not a new idea for anyone. In every part of the world, this practice is quite common and women have always been subjected to such behavior. In this part of the paper, we will be talking about sexual harassment in Australia and how the government approaches to deal with the situation. It is noteworthy at this point that according to the Anti-Discrimination Act of the year 1977, sexual harassment is considered to be a sort of gender discrimination and there is no separate public legislation for sexual harassment (Australian Human Rights Commission, 2013).
