There may be other costs incurred for the year that need to be detailed to justify this amount. The bond service figures certainly seem appropriate considering the nature of that instrument. Special programs is certainly well supported by the school board, who certainly want to see a diversity of programs in place while the budget committee believes it may be a place to help curb costs. The food service costs seem justifiable but considering the revenue returned of $398,459.84 the operation is in a deficit. It may be time to outsource. Certainly Student Security expenditures are at an all time high considering the current climate of problems and Emergency access roads are also an important resource for protection of property and life. Care must be taken in farming out studies and research and certainly bids were taken on this, but money can easily be wasted in this category.
