Job Description

The Director, Enterprise Mobility Technologies provides strategic direction for our company's global mobility strategies and supporting technologies by managing partners, alliances and ongoing development of new applications and platforms. Leading alliances, partnerships and development agreements with key telecommunications providers, leading a team of global developers to create the next generation of mobility applications on the Apple iOS, Google Android, and Microsoft Windows Phone platforms, and creating state-of-the-art support applications for our global base of employees are the responsibilities of this position.

As the technology strategist for our company, the Director, Enterprise Mobility Strategies will provide our senior management team with strategic direction on mobility IT support and manage the global roadmap for mobility solutions corporate wide. This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and must be comfortable collaborating and working in small teams with all C-level executives throughout our organization. This position will also interact with the C-level executives throughout our partnership, customer and reseller organizations globally as each of these organizations require mobility systems and solutions from the Mobility Technologies Team.

Responsibilities

The following are the responsibilities for the Director, Enterprise Mobility Technologies position with our organization:

Manage the global support and service functions for cloud mobility technologies across all functional areas of the organization. This includes first-line internal support and service for network performance and integration requests from business units, departments and divisions globally.

Champion the global product and services roadmap for mobility globally, including the support and services factors that will be included from partnerships and alliances, and the inclusion of joint venture development of Asian and European technology partners (Walker-Brown, 2013).

Manage new application and services development on the Apple iOS, Google Android, and Microsoft Windows Phone platforms, orchestrating internal teams and outside contractors and developers. Expertise in Six Sigma project management is preferred fro this aspect of the Director, Enterprise Mobility Technologies role.

Provide leadership to system design activities including the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for migrating legacy applications to mobility platforms and ensuring...

Speak at the annual customer conference on the future of mobility and how our organization is designing in key requirements today for the future of mobility platforms in each served market (Reynolds, 2008)
Champion the Enterprise Mobility Customer Advisory Council, recruiting the top 10% of customers to participate while also keeping 70% of the council focused on the internal departments and requirements within the organization.

Willingness to travel globally up to 30% of the time.

Requirements

The following are the minimum requirements for the Director, Enterprise Mobility Technologies. The requirements for this position are unique in that they require intensive technical expertise combined with proven management and leadership skills:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent science-based degree.

Masters of Business Administration (MBA) preferred from a leading university with a technology management program included in the curriculum completed.

10+ years experience in enterprise software support, including the escalation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), core Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) systems.

Proven expertise with the Apple iOS, Google Android and Windows Mobile operating systems and development environments. Intensive expertise in wireless communications and security technologies.

Agile-based development expertise applied to mobility application development; familiarity with Six Sigma development methodologies and troubleshooting techniques.

Attainment of one or more of the following certifications: CCNA, CCSA, MCTS, MCP and CISSP. Attainment of the Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP) is recommended, not required.

Extensive project management expertise including attainment of the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from The Project Management Institute is preferred. Intensive expertise with managing and motivating cross-functional teams globally through virtual teaming technologies.
