We do believe our design will help the kooma people to get access to cheap and clean drinking water from within their very own communities, and in addition to providing them with the health and cost benefits of having a readily available supply of clean drinking water, and make their life better and bit more comfortable. Team Reflection

We as a team struggled at first because of the initial delays to our progress in both the research and the design phases of this project due to various reasons. Eventually, however, everyone became engaged in the work allocated by the team leader to each individual person, and with each one of us as a team working really hard to achieve our goals we achieved much greater satisfaction from the project. The newfound fervor with which the team approached this project began with discussions on a number of various of different designs, but after a thorough and careful process of elimination on basis of viability, price, materials and a number of other factors we chose the simple design described above.

No individual team member lagged behind in the tasks allocated once all was said and done. During the course of this project we all learned to work as team, with every member of the group contributing...

We split the assignment into equal parts and assigned each of those parts to the people who were expert in those areas and best able to complete the specific, necessary tasks. To conclude, after a somewhat rough start we found that we had an efficient and effective group that was able to work as a team to achieve our goal on time and in a manner that was highly satisfactory to all team members.

INTRODUCTION

Majority of water on earth lies in its oceans which is not suitable for drinking. In today's world there is huge water crisis. Most of the fresh water -- that is the non-oceanic water that exist in the form of undergound springs and aquifers, as well as the lakes, rivers, and streams of the world's continents --

In the absence of proper waste management laws and regulations, as well as poor enforcement of existing waste disposal laws, an increase in the number of manufacturing entities would inevitably increase instances of water pollution. According to Goel (2006), the mere fact that smaller cities report less instances of water pollution than larger cities is a clear indicator of the relationship that exists between population density and water pollution

Rachel Carson, she asserts that water is our most precious natural resource and goes on to state that "most of the earth's abundant water is not usable for agriculture, industry, or human consumption because of its heavy load of sea salts" (1) and therefore "in the midst of this plenty we are in want" (1). Okay, so let's examine this particular argument; first she says that the earth's abundant water

Water v. soda Water is the building block of life; our bodies are composed mostly of water, as is the earth on which we live. If we "are what we eat," then it makes the most sense to drink more water than any other beverage available. However, many people fall out of the habit of drinking water because of all the flavored beverages on the market. Although most beverages are based

Here, the mass of water is being pulled upward toward the atmosphere by its attraction to the moon. As it does so, the tide is pulled inward from the coastlines contained the body of water. As the moon moves closer to the earth during its daily rotation, the magnetic pull lessens. The diminished pull causes the bulge to decline, pushing the body of water outward and extending the coastlines. It

Water Pollution Water is an important natural resource upon which all the living beings rely for their existence and growth. Nature has blessed the earth with uncountable water resources but usable quantity is limited. Hence, it is important to use water sparingly. The irony is, human activities result is high water pollution which further shortens the water supply for use. "In an age when man has forgotten his origins and is blind

Earth Like Solar Planets Throughout the course of human history, astronomers have wondered about the possibility of finding life beyond the solar system. In the last 20 years, there has been more of an emphasis on identifying other earth like celestial bodies that are orbiting distance stars. This has been taking place through the launch of various orbital telescopes such as: Kepler. Monitoring over 150 thousand stars, Kepler is identifying earth
