Five Guys Burgers and Fries -- Ingredients for Success: Five Guys Burgers and Fries has emerged as a brand that is renowned for its ability not to be considered as a fast food chain since customers are getting quality food at any time and in any location. In addition to advocating for quality control, Five Guys Burgers and Fries toast their buns on a grill. The food joint is committed to production of quality foods through fresh ingredients, simple menus, never-frozen meat, and classic flavors in its entire food production process. As a result of its commitment to these values, Five Guys Burgers and Fries has won several awards for producing the best burger throughout the country, particularly from Maryland and Virginia where the food joint originated. Despite of these advantages, the food joint was rated as extremely unhealthy for people concerned about intake of fat and calories. Nonetheless, the success of Five Guys Burgers and Fries can be attributed to various factors including its unique philosophy and commitment to initial values.

Five Guys Philosophy:

As one of the major factors contributing to the success of this food joint, Five Guys Burgers and Fries has a philosophy that sets it apart from other fast-food chains. This philosophy plays a crucial role in the fast-food chain to an extent that its mission statement is aligned to it. Five Guys philosophy is that selling hamburgers and French fries in a crowded restaurant industry requires the production of high quality products that are better than those of the existing competitors in order to guarantee success ("Five Guys Burgers and Fries," n.d.).

As part of ensuring its commitment to this philosophy, Five Guys Burgers and Fries only use fresh ground beef as ingredients for its burgers and provide 250,000 ways for ordering a burger at the fast-food chain. Furthermore, Five Guys' menu is trans-fat free while customers are kept focused on food through simple red and white branding.

The success and rapid growth of the fast-food chain is not only attributed to its original values but also associated with adoption of various factors that has increased and sustained its success.

One of the original values of the start-up company was a simple and successful formula i.e. making good food with good ingredients (Garrett, 2010). The foundation of the business is the production of better quality hamburgers and French fries than any other competitor in the industry. As a result, Five Guys Burgers and Fries is largely considered as the burger alternative to fast food through special quality with which the restaurant's burger comes off the grill. The second original value of the start-up company is the simplicity of its menu, which is appealing to customers. In this case, Five Guys has focused more on food instead of gimmicks or public relations tricks to an extent that it doesn't have fancy combos or tricks.

While Five Guys remains committed to these values, it strength and growth in the industry is attributed to three major factors i.e. quality control, real ingredients, and a simple approach.
