The basic idea is to provide these individuals with technology that they can use to help them effectively deal with the issues that they are facing. A few of the most notable solutions that we will be using include: the Braille / Braille Embosser, FM radio systems, Hear It devises, tape recorders, victor reader waves for audio books, victor reader streams for audio books, Handi Cassette II (talking book), MP 3 Players, Neo-Alpha Smart Note Pad, TTY Communication, Digital Voice Statistical Calculators, Speaking Dictionaries and Cannon Scanner for text books. At the same time, we will use different programs to support these various solutions that are being introduced to include: JAWS, Kurzweil, open book, and zoom text. Once this occurs, this will help to address the needs that are facing a wide variety of individuals who suffering from various disabilities. As, these tools can be used to help them be able to address their unique necessities and ensure that they have the opportunity to live productive lives. Over the course of time, this kind of program can begin assisting many individuals to become independent. This is significant, because it is showing how these technology solutions can effectively level the playing field for these individuals. The reason why, is because the combination of them can provide innovative ways of effectively dealing with the problem. While at the same time, it is responding to the unique needs of each person (in a format that works for them). This will increase learning comprehension and it will allow everyone to be able to effectively improve how they are dealing with the challenges that they are facing. Once this takes place, it means that it is only a matter of time until this will have a positive impact on the region.

This means, that we must provide additional solutions for this demographic of the population. To achieve this objective we will build off a foundation of technology. This will be accomplished by augmenting our IT protocol with other technology solutions to include: state of the art computes, Video Remote Interpreting equipment, I PADS, smart pens, more software, a private room for our veterans to use with computers, software, power tables and cushioned chairs. These different elements are important, because they will help us to use technology to provide a customizable solution.
This will address the specific needs of the individual by ensuring that they have access to those tools that can help to improve their ability to perform a wide variety of tasks. Once this occurs, it will deal with these issues. As these tools can allow people to engage in tasks that will enhance their quality of life.

While at the same time, it is teaching these individuals to be more independent through consistently using these tools. Over the course of time, this will have an impact on the number of people that are able to live independently within the community. As, they have the opportunity to be able to address these specific needs, which will give everyone a sense of empowerment. This is the point that the program will be effective at dealing with these issues by: creating customizable solutions. If this kind of approach can be taken, it will ensure that everyone is able to have their needs addressed in a format that will maximize their understanding of the subject matter.
