Hong Kong has always grown under the wings of China owing to several reasons. One of the main ones is that the country was under the governorship of their close neighbors, China. Therefore, most of the direction that the country has currently is attributable to the influence of China. It was during the Qin Dynasty that the destiny of the country took shape. This is because it was during this period that the country was adjoined to become part of China. Throughout the subsequent dynasties like that of Tang, the country came to become one of the leading trade regions. However, it was the activities of the country under the Qing Dynasty that brought attention to the world of the existence of this small but potentially powerful country.

China is the country with the leading population in the world and their history dates back to many years back. The country was under the rule of dynasties with the first being the dynasty Xia. However, the dynasty that left the most prominent mark in the country was that of Shang although it later ended because of wars. It was only after 1912 that the last Qing dynasty ended, and the country became a republic. The country also puts a lot of effort in the history of architecture in the country. The difference between China mainland and Hong Kong

Perhaps the key differentiating factors between the two countries are the influence of the British culture. Hong Kong is a country whose main activities have a direct influence from the country because they were under their colonial rule. One of the greatest influences is driving of cars, which is on the left in the country just like in Britain. In China mainland, this is opposite and the rules provide for driving on the right just like the majority of the world. The subway in Hong Kong is one of the most elegant of its kind, and it takes a direct influence from those in Britain. There is a lot of filtering of the internet in China with just recently Google leaving the country. However, these websites including the social media are not a problem in Hong Kong. In spite of the excellent education system in China mainland, Hong Kong is more superior and by quite a distance. The differences are also evident in the currencies of the countries.
