My internship was at Verbena Vision Photography, which is located at Miami. The business specializes in wedding photography, catering mainly to Chinese clients. I met with Jia Song, the owner, when I first arrived. Her company is primarily about the Chinese wedding photo business. Chinese couples, when they are getting married, like to do wedding photo shoots at exotic locations. Miami is one such location, and that is why the business started. Mrs. Song explained a little bit about her business, and that she wants branch out a bit in the future, doing things like graduation videos.

There are eight people who work in the office, and I was able to meet all of them, though it took a short while before I remembered everybody's names . My job for this internship was to assist with the photoshoots. I was an assistant to the chief photographer, and in this capacity went….

1.3 Reflection

The skills that I took away from this experience were those of networking, and budgeting. But most importantly, the leadership skill was a valuable skill that I obtained from this internship. If I could only choose one skill learnt in this internship, it will be the leadership skill which seemed very paramount in the running of any business outlet. Without a strong foundation of leadership skill, one cannot lead the company to a high level; he cannot inspire the employees to do a better job, nor to lead the company out of harsh time.

Relating my studies to this internship, I was indeed qualified to participate in this internship because I am an open minded person. This particular problem also reflects certain issues with the organizational culture that existed at the institution, which in turn pointed to problems in the perceived value chain in operation due to the relationship that has been noted between the culture and value (Griffin & Moorehead 2009). Though value creation is often viewed in terms of competition, all value is ultimately derived from internal actions and efficiencies, and is eroded by inefficiencies; the cultural attitude that the soiled sheets were simply "not my problem" in the opinion of the aides created an inefficiency and so eroded value (Alkhafaji 2003). The underlying value of the internship -- personal experiences and observations: It would not be possible to place a specific value on the experience I had in participating with the administration, but there were lessons and achievements that certainly added value to my resume and to my brain's database of positive school-related experiences.

Social Work Internship Experience With Alzheimer Patients
My service learning experience was a positive one. I had the opportunity to work at an Alzheimer's care facility, with patients exhibiting various stages of Alzheimer's disease. I learned through my interactions with older adults at the clinic that much like anyone else, Alzheimer's patients need stimulation, warmth, compassion and an environment that encourages interaction and relationship building.

My views of older adults have changed significantly since working with patients at the care center. Whereas in the past I might have assumed that all older adults were mentally less cognizant of their emotions and feelings and 'numb' to the world around them, I learned instead that many have a great compassion for caring, and many desire simply to enjoy much of the same things than anyone else would at their age. My experiences are described in greater detail below.

Hotel Shangri-La is situated in SuZhou's new district, which is of one of the major cities located in Jiangsu Province southeast and adjacent to Shanghai. This internship involved principle warehouse duties including building and verifying comprehensive logistics reports, participating in all aspects of shipping, receiving, and storage. In addition to fostering strengths in communications and coordination with other departments, the internship also involved the daily use of technological tools, information technologies, and radio frequency identification devices. By performing these and other critical warehouse operations under the tutelage of supervisory staff, I was able to link theory and practice.
