What does the term theory means? Theory is a word that is used a lot in our everyday life. Mostly it is when we are referring to a hunch, supposition or guess that we make use of this word (Cherry). People often dismiss or ignore some particular information because they feel that it is based on "just some theory." However, the important thing to keep in mind here is that with regards to science and other psychological topics theory is different from how this term is colloquially used (Cherry). In the world of science there is a hypothesis that the theory is based upon and there is also evidence present to back it up. An idea or concept is presented by a theory which can be tested. Theory is just a guess in science (Cherry). Theory is a phenomenon that is based upon a framework of facts.

There are a lot of complexities and diversities in the 21st century. Due to this complex nature of this century there are a lot of theories which have come to surface with regards to studying, understand and explaining this century. One of these many available theories is the complexity theory. These politicians are not characterized as much by their innate nature but rather by the context and they are susceptible to surprise given by members of the new groups who decide to organize themselves in independent manners to serve new purposes (The IR Theory).
There is a further argument that is presented by these concepts that there is a possibility of fundamental consequences arising - at time very quickly - from conditions that might be very small in the beginning but which may result in a catastrophe for the organizations and countries which might be very hard or even impossible to avoid (The IR Theory). The concluding picture of this 21st century where technology has seen such vast improvements and advancements, connectivity with the whole world is at its best and the course can suddenly be changed by the actors there is every possibility that the success can suddenly turn into failure (The IR Theory).

Probably one of the first and very influential cognitive theorists was George Kelly from the years 1930s to 1960s. He worked as a university professor as well as clinical psychologist.
