When a source has six or more authors, cite only the last name of the first author followed by et al. As above, distinguish authors that shorten to the same form by including as many subsequent authors as necessary. Separate each name by a comma, using the connector "and" unless the authors are listed parenthetically, in which case use an ampersand.

When creating the reference list, alphabetize authors by last name. When there is more than one author, alphabetize the entry according to the last name of the first author in the series. Use the author's last name, then initials rather than full names. Place a period after each initial and use one space after the period. If there is a subtitle, capitalize only the first word after the colon or em-dash. Place a period at the end of the title. The title of the periodical follow in italics, followed by the volume number, also italicized, and the issue number in parenthesis, not italicized, and with no space between volume and issue numbers. The closing parenthesis is followed by a comma, then the page range, separated by an em-dash. The citation will appear as follows:

References appear on a separate page. On the references page, there is a double space between entries. Each entry is single-spaced. The second and subsequent lines within an entry are indented.
