Clearly, digital audio recording is superior to analogue recording, because it uses a number of different principals to include: Nyquist's Frequency and quantization. These two elements are important, because they allow the quality of the sound to be far superior, as they address the various challenges from aliasing. When you combine this, with the way digital recording can track the amplitude of the wave, using decimals, it is obvious why listeners prefer this type of device. As it will more accurately capture the different sounds of the actual event, while reducing the underlying amounts of background noise as much as possible. This is significant, because it shows how the various innovations in technology, have improved the overall sound quality of various recordings, as digital audio has begun to transform the industry.
