¶ … accept my application for admission to your university. I have had a lifelong desire to pursue a career in the medical field, and that is why I hope to attend your institution. When I was in the 5th grade, I was diagnosed with early stage Crones Disease, and I spent most of that year in the hospital undergoing treatment and five surgeries. This is the experience that led to my desire to help ill children, especially those suffering from cancer.

A bring a strong desire to help others, as well as many extra curricular activities to indicate my interest in the medical profession. In high school, I attained the position of New Albany High School Eagle Ambassador for 2003 through 2005. I attended the 2003 summer camp at Mt. Carmel West Hospital (in pediatrics), and served as a volunteer in 2004 and 2005 for Hope Street Kids, a pediatric cancer research foundation. In 2005, I volunteered at St.

Ann's Hospital, and I did my 2006 Senior Seminar project on Hope Street Kids, where I was offered an internship in Washington DC with Hope Street Kids corporate offices. For 2006 and 2007, I have been accepted into the Explorer Program at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. During this time, I also participated on my high school soccer team. I feel I have experience and enthusiasm to offer the medical program and a degree from your institution would be my stepping-stone into the career I have always seen for myself.
