ANGELA'S ASHES The Container: I have two ideas about the container. One would be a book, that is hollowed out to hold the items. Frank McCourt always loved books, and it is what made him the man he is now, a writer, a teacher, and a legend. The other would be some kind of container that held alcohol. McCourt always had a sense of humor, even about the most awful things that happened in his life. I think he would see the humor (even if it is black) in a time capsule left in a bottle or a can of booze, because he was not above laughing at himself.

This timeline shows what was happening while they were growing up, and how their lives were changed later on, because of what happened in the world (like World War II).
Item 2: Cigar (Winston Churchill)

Winston Churchill was the Prime Minister of England during World War II. He became the Prime Minister in 1940, right after the war had started. Winston Churchill was very famous for many things, like helping England stay strong, and last through the Nazi bombings. He was a big man, and he made a lot of famous speeches, he even invented the name "Iron Curtain." He was a hero to the English, and the Irish too, at least for a while. He also smoked a lot of cigars, and he was very famous for it. He didn't know smoking wasn't good for you back then.
