Nurses are also usually the first medical professionals to encounter patients, and so they have to be good at making quick assessments of a patient's condition, to ensure that the patient gets the appropriate care. Obviously, an emergency room nurse might need better triage skills than a nurse in a doctor's office, but all nurses have to be able to identify potentially contagious patients and deal with them appropriately. In hospital settings, nurses are often the consistent element of a patient's care plan, and a nurse's involvement can ensure that a patient gets the type of care that he or she needs to recover. Nurses also play an important emotional role in the life of the patient, providing the patient with a caring person who can answer questions and listen to concerns. Of course, at this point in my life, I cannot say what type of nurse I would like to be.

There are various aspects of nursing that I find interesting. Do I want to assist in labors and deliveries? That seems as if it would be incredibly rewarding, but would I find that I was better suited to something like hospice care? The beauty of a nursing degree is that there is so much flexibility. I can work in a hospital, a doctor's office, go on to become...

...

I appreciate this type of flexibility, which seems greater than in other careers. Part of the reason for such flexibility is that nurses are in high demand. Almost every area of the country and every area of practice needs nurses. As such, nurses are in an unusual position, especially in a vulnerable economy. Nurses are demanding relatively high salaries and good nurses have their choice of position.
The high demand for nurses is not the only practical reason to pursue a career in nursing. One must acknowledge the other financial incentives as well. Medical school is not only more expensive than nursing school, but also requires a much greater time commitment without earning an income. While the financial payoffs for doctors may be greater, that is no longer guaranteed. A good nurse can earn salaries that are competitive with a doctor's, and can frequently earn higher salaries at a younger age. In fact, that nurses can begin working and earning a living much earlier than doctors, and that they generally do so carrying a much lower burden in school loans are the practical reasons I have decided on a career in nursing.

Moreover, it is unclear whether Jim has attempted to reestablish any meaningful contact with his children; rather, his entire focus has been on becoming a better person. While there is certainly nothing wrong with that goal in and of itself (it is, after all, a universal human quality), he appears to have pursued this goal to the total exclusion of making any substantive reparations to his family. Finally, it is

It is through these facets of every "Sex" woman character that makes the show meaningful and realistic enough to make it audiences believe that they, too, can attain the personalities and triumphs in love, sex, and career lives of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda. Indeed, love, sex, and career as depicted in "Sex" is actually embedded in the show's women characters. The close relationship of the women with each other

Victorian literature was remarkably concerned with the idea of childhood, but to a large degree we must understand the Victorian concept of childhood and youth as being, in some way, a revisionary response to the early nineteenth century Romantic conception. Here we must, to a certain degree, accept Harold Bloom's thesis that Victorian poetry represents a revisionary response to the revolutionary aesthetic of Romanticism, and particularly that of Wordsworth. Thus, the initial negotiation was not a difficult choice, as Miami had both the lowest opportunity cost and the highest benefits. Later, when Washington re-entered the picture, it was because the league had raised suspicion with respect to the Miami contract with Howard. As a result, the cost-benefit analysis and risk analysis shifted. If Howard went to arbitration against the league, he would risk losing $50-60 million over the length

She is well-connected within the community and is confident that her business would be profitable within a year or two. She has a strong, charismatic personality and is also connected to Milwaukee's artistic community through her husband's architectural work restoring some of the city's beautiful historic buildings. She has a considerable portfolio, and occasionally sold stock photos or worked as a wedding photographer when she was in law school. Laura

The anxiety that difficulties in juggling family and work tasks can negatively affect worker presentation has led some employers to offer on-site child-care or add family leave to benefit packages. If such initiatives, employers have assumed, reduce friction between family responsibilities and work demands, then worker productivity should increase and unexcused absenteeism and unnecessary turnover should decrease (Brandon & Temple, 2007).
