Deculturization Summarize how Joel Spring develops the concepts of deculturalization, segregation, resistance, and political activism with the different ethnic racial groups discussed in the book called "Deculturalization and the Struggle for Equality." The book is basically based on a history of the Anglo American domination of the various minorities within the American domain. Joel Spring dedicates the various chapters to studying and tracing the deculturizaion of the various races from Native American to Puerto Rican and then presenting their secularization.

The first chapter is however, dedicated to the concept of racial superiority in Anglo Americans. Spring suggests that the major role of deculturization emerged from the Anglo Saxon segregation of the minority races. The minority races were denied their right to education and the domination of the Anglo Americans allowed them to establish a basis of privilege that later led to a slow and systematic eradication of the cultural and social values established by the various races.
