It also keeps tourists and strangers well-informed about points of interest in the area, such as restaurants or local historic attractions. One of the reasons people are sometimes reluctant to regularly use public transportation is its lack of convenience. This new technology increases convenience and makes transportation even more user-friendly for tourists, as well as local commuters. As people grow more comfortable with GPS systems, it is likely that they will be more comfortable using them in other arenas of their lives.
