Educational Program

Needs and expectations of the stakeholders in the project

This Far West education program has a variety of stakeholders bearing that it is directed towards not only impacting the English speaking ability among the immigrant population, but also equipping them with prerequisite skills and material like books and other support to ensure the people involved in the program benefit to the maximum. The stakeholders involved here are categorized as the sponsors, teachers, students, staff members, the community within which the project is to be established as well as the management that will oversee the implementation of the project.

There are varied needs that the stakeholders would have in the course of the project. These expectations widely influence running of every program and this will not be an exemption. The One of the very significant expectations of the stakeholders is the proof of transparency and fairness of the program. The stakeholders would also like to know that the program is effective in the increasing of the education levels among the target group, that the program is running smoothly and most of all that it is achieving the goals that it was meant for.

The stakeholders will also need a frequent evaluation and reevaluation of the program to ascertain the position and see what needs change, or improvements. Bearing the fact that this is an education program, the stakeholders will also need to know and ascertain the qualifications of the people engaged in the program. They will also want to know if these teachers involved are current with the trends in education particularly for the immigrant population. The stakeholders will also be keen on the outcomes and the feedback given by the community and the student population as well.

These requirements will therefore mean that the manner in which the program will have to be carried out within the Far West community must be above board level. The responsible people will have to conduct the requirements of the program in a manner that is transparent and meets the expectations of the funding bodies. There will have to be instituted systems that will ensure there are regular assessments of the effects of the program on the concerned people who are supposed to benefit from the program. There will be employment of qualified people in the positions that will be available within the program.

The community is yet another significant stakeholder in this education program since they are the ones who will directly benefit from the education of both the adults as well as the younger population still in school. The program will therefore have to be conducted in a manner that is in line with the understanding of the community in order to benefit them all.

The management of the program will also have to manage the program in a manner that satisfies the teachers and other employees within the organization. It will be important that the employees within feel satisfied and see the relevance of the program for it to have relevance within this community.

There are various groups within this program as already noted. The students are of the program that are expected to be equipped with the relevant skills and educational needs are the first group whose expectation of the program is to change their lives by impacting the prerequisite skills for smooth coexistence within New Hampshire and the U.S. In general.

The other group is the funders who will be specifically interested in the running of the program towards achieving the goals that have been mentioned hitherto. This will mean they need to be briefed on the progress of the program on a regular basis in order to stay in line with the developments within the program.

Yet another group is the far West community and this happens to be the most important group in this program. It is because of them that the program was established hence there must be all due diligence taken when dealing with them in order for them to see the relevance in the program. They need to be explained for the relevance of the program to the community and why they should join. Once they have joined, it is critical that they are given the highest quality possible of service and regular evaluation done. These needs of the community can be met through involving them in each step of the program as well as sourcing for majority of the employees from within the community.

The other group is the government and the relevant authorities. There is need to equip the relevant authorities with the appropriate documentation that will enable them recognize the program and even offer the advice and help where necessary. This will also enable the relevant authorities to take notice of the need for more of such programs within other communities and even across the country as a whole.

One of the possible funding institutions is the Sponsors for Educational Opportunities. This is a body that is dedicated to offering education opportunities for underserved communities as well as career programs to this lot (SEO, 2012). This is a body that deals directly in the line that the program in Far West community will be seeking to achieve hence there is possibility of them accepting to sponsor this program as well.
