He has won numerous other awards, including the Golden Globe Award and the Grammy Award (Ibid). Unfortunately for Horner, this success has also been a source of huge controversy. He has been criticized for ofter transposing hooks, orchestral motifs, or even larger passages from other musical scores of his own or more controversially from other composers and from other major motion pictures. These allegations are the main points of ferocious debate between supporters and detractors of Horner. Conclusion

To sum up, Celine Dion in My Heart Will Go On has been rated as one of the best soundtracks ever made. It is the opinion of this author that when one listens to the song, the rhythm and the lyrics as well touches the deep in the heart. The theme music makes a deep connection between the watcher and the movie because it makes one care and connect with the characters in the movie. The emotional connection does this on a deep psychological level that one can not...

It has therefore beem the thesis of this essay that the main reason for the success of the film and the song is due to the emotional connection that it provides for the viewer to the characters in the film. The emotional connection is provided by the universal medium of music. If the music brings out this effect, then truly such a topic is naturally worth exploring. Rarely is a subject worth exploring under any other circumstances. This would then indicate a power integral with the whole song itself and with the other music in the film. Such a world makes one feel estranged from everything else, but connected hypnotically with the characters in a film. It is this power that draws the viewer in and keeps them there attached on an emotional and human level that is hypnotic and plugs into a stream of cultural consciousness that explains the enduring quality of the music's appeal.

Words: 1182 Length: 3 Document Type: Essay

Christopher Marlowe's short lyric "The Passionate Shepherd to His Love" has exercised an influence on English verse which hardly seems indicated by the limpid faux-naif quality of the poem itself, written in simple four-line stanzas, each composed of a pair of simple rhymed octosyllablic couplets. R.S. Forsythe traces a whole host of imitations in English and in Continental verse of Marlowe's pastoral song, and concludes that "The Passionate Shepherd to His
