The reason why these areas are important is because they are working to create a basic foundation of leadership skills. As, having young managers are learning the proper leadership techniques that will help them to be able to understand how to effectively work with staff members. Once this occurs, is when they will learn the different ways to reach out to them and motivate each person to do something more for the firm. While, the time that they are spending at the Jack Welch Leadership Development Center, which will help new executives to learn various tools for effectively leading an organization and how they can be applied in a corporate environment. These elements are important, because they are showing that the combination of these factors are creating an approach that is teaching new managers proper leadership techniques and the way they are applied in the real world. The reason why is because GE created this program in 1956 and they have been continually using it as a way to motivate everyone. Over the course of time, this allowing college graduates to see the success of many individuals in the program and how it helped them to advance their careers over the long-term. Once this occurs, is when there will be a change in: the perceptions of the company and the benefits that it is providing to managers. This is the point that college graduates are willing to do more to work for GE.
