Hour Car Ride; Regarding Whom I Would Admission Essay

¶ … hour car ride; regarding whom I would choose and why.

I have been extremely interested in the functionalities and technicalities inherent to the world of business ever since the time that I came to realize the essentiality that businesses have in regard to the world that we live in. One of the things that has become most apparent to me regarding my idea of an ideally effectual degree of business know-how has been the concept that only in so much as absolutely understanding the characteristics of the marketing within it is operating can a particular business ensure any degree of market success.

This is the primary reason due to which I would prefer to select Jack Welch and Bill Gates as two of my companions to accompany me upon a hypothetical car ride lasting for 72 hours. Both of the men are monumental names in the business sector; in fact their accomplishments and acquisitions are viewed practically as business legends. The stories of the significant organizational success brought forth by these men are practically business norms. Being named the youngest CEO and Chairman of General Electric in the history of the company when he was only 44 years old, one of Welch's famous business tenets for GE was that the business units had to be either #1 or #2 in their business; If they weren't, he would either sell or close the business. Moreover, he succeeded in doing this; GE was the top company in the U.S. For 4 years running until Mr. Welch's retirement. He turned GE into such a powerhouse that it will likely stay in the top 10 for years to come. Gates' significant organizational success, which started off as an obsession with computers, which were a rarity during the era, is equally remarkable, this being apparent in consideration of the fact that Microsoft, Gates' company, was considered one of the most aspiring in the world a short period ago.

It is apparent that, from the conversational traits of these two great organizational geniuses, I will be able to glean quite a wealth of knowledge regarding organizational functionalities. Moreover, I will also be able to delve into their significant reserves business knowledge in so much as making queries in regard to particularly possible points of uncertainty and doubt within their careers.

Furthermore the rhetoric here is rich in symbolism. Dr. King draws parallels between the response of violence to his peaceful protests and other great personalities whose commitment to justice, truth, and love also had unintended and unfortunate consequences.
