On the other hand, if I am experiencing thoughts that are sad, but wish to change my attitude to one that is more carefree, I may select a dance song that can hopefully get me out of the rut. H. While these messages are not true in every song of the genres, they hold true more often than not. Knowing what messages they bring in comparison to what thoughts I would like to have can be very helpful when selecting from the two music types.
