¶ … ability to measure and track the results from any scientific experiment is extremely important to both the validity and truthfulness of the work. Scientists often have problems in certain sciences due to the scope of their investigation. As a result of these mismatches, indirect avenues of approach become necessary to measure and grasp the items of inquiry. In physics, the atomic theory is based upon indirect measurements. The neutron, proton and electron are merely ideas that have been modeled due to the technology that is available to scientists. An electron has never been physically produced and only its characteristics have been noticed. This is an important distinction, because too often scientists take many of these long standing practices for granted and have assumed the presence of these particles, when there is compelling evidence there is not. Jessa (2009) reminded us that "This understanding the atom helped to fuel many other discoveries such as the fundamental forces and Einstein's theory of relativity. It is especially is important when one goes into Quantum physics a discipline that looks at physics at the atomic and subatomic levels."

Unfortunately the result is building more theory on top of more theory without actual inductive experiment. The far out notions of quantum physics have almost negated the possibility of inductive experiment in the science. The problem is also noticed in astronomy and cosmology as untestable...

Induction therefore becomes the most important tool that scientists have to understand the universe in non-dogmatic method.
Common sense and intuition also play heavily into the scientists ability to influence the physical sciences in any significant manner. The most profound and important discoveries in science were intuited by men who could not explain their experiences. "Isaac Newton supposedly watched an apple fall from a tree and suddenly connected its motion as being caused by the same universal gravitational force that governs the moon's attraction to the earth. John Maynard Keynes, the famous economist, said "Newton owed his success to his muscles of intuition. Newton's powers of intuition were the strongest and most enduring with which a man has ever been gifted.'"

Inventive science, that which requires no induction, has become very popular in today's world of science due to the influence of Albert Einstein's disdain for experience. The ability to create ideas became more important than the ability to test them. While this experience is no doubt productive and well-meaning, it certainly redefines what we know by science .
