A society composed out of an unique class seems to be impossible because the differences between people are maintained by a system led by the rich class- which can not afford to diminish its power or put its position at risk. Owen speaks as an idealist because he had achieved his ideal. He became rich and he maintained his noble spirit and generosity. His personal success inspired him and he believed in the power of all the individuals to shape their own destiny like that. While things have been different in the past, nowadays the human resources have become strategic and therefore it is safe to say that a successful contemporary capitalist ought to put more emphasis on people than on profit.
