¶ … Advance This multidimensional approach of the video takes into account a medical perspective thru the presentation of the brain and its various stages of development to point out the fact that children at very early stages can be severely influenced and impacted by what they are exposed to as their brain is similar to a sponge and without a conscious action the child tends to instinctually replicate what he or she sees later in life.

Also, the video points out from a medical perspective that domestic violence and child exposure to such acts can lead to negatively influencing the psychic of the child and eventually even lead him on the path of self blame or suicide.

The film also has a policy approach in the sense that its aim was to open the eyes of both people and the authorities on what are the implications of domestic violence on children and at the same time to point out through case studies the role of the school environment and other environments in which children can manifest themselves and can move away from the traumas that they may have suffered at home.

The causal factors addressed in the video are related to the standard and most common causes of domestic violence. More precisely, the cases presented in the video pointed out to family environments in which parents were alcohol and drug abusers with bad tempers and aggressive behavior; in all cases presented, women were the ones being abused and most often this happened in front of their children.

In terms of policy to address domestic violence, the video did not take into account, as this was not the main focus of the production. However, in this video, a type of crimes against children was considered the actual exposure of the child to such happenings. In this sense, several recommendations were provided mostly for parents. Thus, parents should be aware of the fact that children are influenced from a very early stage by mood swings and changes in the emotional balance of parents or partners.

This is why the video recommended that parents restrain their mood changes or their violent outbursts in front of children because this may prevent normal development of the lower parts of the brain, which in time can result in permanent damage and mental illnesses. According to the video presented, studies have shown that the effects less impact children who were subject to abuse than the ones that have been subject to repeated exposure to domestic violence in an unhealthy environment.

Furthermore increased attention was provided to creating a social environment in which children could recuperate and improve their state of mind in case they were exposed to domestic violence. In this video, there were no financial aspects involved, except for the cases in which financial issues were part of the reasons for violent outbursts in the family which eventually result in domestic violence. This video was basically constructed on the future implications exposure of children to domestic violence have on the well-being of the child.

More precisely, it was clearly stated that if children are exposed to scenes with domestic violence, on the long run, these may affect his evolution and can trigger a similar behavioral pattern with his children, making this behavior negative for future generations. In terms of content, the video is full with useful information particularly because it focuses on different perspectives, as mentioned above.

Such information include the ones related to the development of the brain, the way in which it is affected by outside stimuli and how this impacts the actual evolution of the different areas of the brain. Also, it points out the repercussions exposure to such abuses may have on the next generations of children and how to avoid these situations. From this perspective, the video is educational and at the same time raises awareness on the subject at hand. I chose this video for different reasons.

On the one hand, the fact that this video was made by the Office of the Attorney General reflects to a certain.
