The Internet has already radically changed many types of business activities, particularly in connection with the conduct of business across large geographic distances. Internet connectivity provides instantaneous communications without regard for distance. It also influences pricing because the increase in availability of more choices for customers changes the dynamic of competition and pricing tremendously. It is no longer the case that local or even domestic business entities need only compete with local competitors; today, even local and domestic businesses compete with international entities even for the business of local customers and potential customers.
