Justice Administration

The United States judicial system is ranked among the most sophisticated systems in the world. Each and every day there are thousands of people who include officers for law enforcement, judges, lawyers, accused criminals and officials in the government take part in the system with the hope that they will settle disputes and work towards the achievement of justice. This system is quite remarkable since it operates successfully in a country which is quite large and diverse. There are various elements of the criminal justice system in the U.S. these include criminal courts, arraignments, trials, sentencing, booking, bargaining of a plea, jury, punishment, appeals and so on. Within these systems there are elements that work quite well when it comes to the completion of the entire judicial process (Silverman, 2012).

The existence of criminal courts within the judicial system of the U.S. is an element that has made it easy for the completion of the judicial system. This is because it is in the court where an accused person is arraigned, goes through trial and finally sentenced if they are found guilty. The court provides a place where all these things are successfully done. The courts are in line with the biblical principals of justice. God has appointed civil governments in the world in order for them to maintain justice in the world (Romans 13:1-5) "For the ruler is a servant of God to do you good…..an agent of wrath to bring punishment to wrong doers. God also calls magistrates and judges "gods" with the authority of providing justice which comes from God. If they fail in their duty they will be judged by God. Therefore, the justice system I charged with the responsibility of protecting good and punishing evil.

Another element that has made it easy for the completion of a judicial process is the presence of a jury. The jury system is quite fair since a ruling does not depend solely on a single individual. The incorporation of the jury system in the U.S. justice system has brought a lot of fairness in the justice system. The right to an attorney in the U.S. justice system is yet another thing that has made the judicial process easy. This is because with an attorney it becomes very easy for a court proceeding to take place. Attorneys are advocates of an accused person who defend them (Silverman, 2012).With an attorney an accused person has confidence in the judicial process since they have someone who speaks for them and has the task of proving they are not guilty.

On the other hand there are some elements of the justice system which impend the completion of the judicial process.one of such element is the lack of communication between the police and the courts. The police are given the task of arresting any individual who is breaking the law. The police are the ones who have the evidence that incriminate or link a person to a particular crime. However, in most occasions there is lack of communication between the police department and the courts. This lack of communication often impends appropriate evidence reaching the courts in time for the commencement of the trail process. There are also other instances where the police might lack sufficient evidence to present to the court and therefore the judicial process does not continue smoothly.
