There are different advertisements with each keen on convincing a particular audience on a certain product the advertiser wants to sell.

The first one is a GAP advertisement for selling clothes, the second one for Carlsberg an alcoholic drink, the third one is of MAC products the fifth is on sketchers, the sixth is on body fragrances and the last one is on milk at the same time trying to persuade the audience on the benefits of milk on ones body. The essay and advertisements are all similar in that they try to convey information to a specific target audience and try to convince the audience about something.

For the easy the readers are being convinced on how people today are interested on having small bodies as opposed to having large bodies. While for the advertisements each target audience is convinced through the advertisement of the product that is being advertised. The advertisements are created in an appealing way such that it makes someone looking at the advertisement get interested in what is being advertised and probably make a purchase.

Imagery is used in both the essay and advertisement .for the essay there are several scenarios where imagery has been created which makes a reader picture the person who has been described and try making out how the individual might look like. For the advertisement actual images have been used to bring out and convince the audience on the product being advertised. The imagery used in both convinces the audience on what is being talked about in the essay and what is being advertised in the advertisements.

The difference between the essay and advertisement comes in due to the fact that for the essay it is giving out information on a certain trend that is currently taking place in the world that of people now becoming interested on small bodies ads opposed to big bodies on the other hand the advertisements are set out to persuade the audience on specific things to be sold.

Messages being conveyed in each are different for the essay the author wants the audience to get the exact feel of how the world has changed is gradually getting to a stage where people are more interested in being small as opposed to having big bodies. This revolution has taken place even in countries were big bodies were culturally accepted such as Africa, Asia and so on. The advertisements each want to convey a message on the products that are intended for sale.
