In a small town, people are more transparent and friendly than in a big city but they are equally stubborn and come to some fixed ideas. It is thus important to make a good lasting impression on people in order to succeed. Contribute towards community building in any manner you possibly can. Make people see your business is beneficial to the entire area and not just yourself. This will attract more customers and help in keeping the existing ones.
