Candidates Campaign

State and local party organizations play an important role in a candidates campaign by providing resources and support. These organizations can provide volunteers, staff, and donations that help to spread the candidates message, as well as providing access to key political networks and constituencies. They can also provide assistance with fundraising, get-out-the-vote efforts, organizing rallies and events, and communicating with local media. These organizations tend to have excellent resources, such as access to voter data, fundraising advice, and campaign volunteers, which of course candidates can use to build and launch their campaigns. Plus, local party organizations often have longstanding relationships with the media and other local stakeholders, which can be beneficial to candidates looking to build their name recognition in the community. This is one reason, too, that it may be more difficult for an independent to run a successful campaign versus a candidate who is supported by a well-established party. These functions are essential to any candidates overall success, as they are necessary components in any successful campaign.

They can also be considered essential because state and local party organizations serve as a kind of critical infrastructure for candidates seeking political office.
