As a result, he proposes a series of social and political policies that would strengthen the role played by the black male in the family. These refer to better employment opportunities, wage increases or an improved social perception of the roles that fathers play within the family. 4. Conclusions
The report issued by Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan set the basis for years of controversy. Organized under the title the Negro Family: The Case for National Action, the findings were party based on two previous studies (undisclosed to the public).
Moynihan's Report argues the standpoint from which the family is the primary cause of increased violence in the black communities.
