We're Tickled Pink!

Sophie was born in San Francisco on January 28, 2009, arriving 3 weeks earlier than planned! She weighed in at 7 lbs. 1 oz. And was19 1/4 inches long. You can see from the photo below that she is the spitting image of her father. Just look at those adorable eyes and her little pug nose. I'm sure you'll agree that the resemblance is absolutely amazing.

Unfortunately, because Sophie entered this world a little early, John was on a business trip when she was born. He was initially very upset that he wasn't able to be at the hospital, but now all he focuses on is his "little pumpkin."

As a matter of fact, we are both totally in love with her. She is a really sweet baby and is constantly smiling. However, like most newborns, Sophie is very demanding. She is up every couple of hours and makes it very clear when its time to be fed.

All of my friends are making fun of me because I don't have any extra time now that Sophie is home. Trust me, long gone are my evenings out with friends and my trips to the gym.

Heading to Boston

However, John will finish up with business school this May and that should be a big help with taking care of Sophie. Speaking of which, John has already found a new job as a financial services manager at Fidelity which he will begin in July.
