OODA Loop was the creation of Air Force Colonel John Boyd and the acronym stands for observe, orient, decide, and act. Thus observations relates to the observation in depth of the current realities. Orientation deals with the background, specialized knowledge and genetic makeup of the user of the loop or the subject. The third is to decide. Based on the other two sets and requirements a decision is made and the course of action created. The next is too see that action is taken, and from then on the result observed, which means the observer goes back to step one. (Neenergyobserver, 2012) Communication plays a vital role in this practice. The definitions apply not only to the Air force but all areas where critical decision making is involved. Thus basically the OODA is an iterative loop or decision process that has the components of observing, orienting, deciding and then acting on the decision which again loops back to the observation for the developments and so on. So observing in the context of the practice entails the creation of sufficient knowledge on the subject at hand, in this case the patient care. If one was to study a nation then one has to study the entire facts of the nation. Once the observation is complete the next step would be analyzing the observation on the basis of the cultural heritage of the subject matter. The OODA Loop can also be illustrated with a critical operation like health care. It is not necessary that one must study the military maneuvers. (Ford, 2008)

A health care proposition is equally critical. One aspect is the patient safety and how can it be enforced with healthcare managers and this question defines the OODA loop in the perspective. The choice...

Therefore decisions are made at the apex without any care for the variables that affect the decisions. Certain observations and inputs are the domain of the workers in the lower strata. Thus to achieve patient safety they must be included in a loop rather than in the flow of command from top to bottom. This involves the change in the paradigm of thought and decision making and can be critical. (Ford, 2008)
Many critical applications thus derive benefit from the type of decision making process. The deciding in a clinic will be the diagnosis based on the observation and the analysis of the observation. By analyzing the conditions then the decision is made after which it is put in action and the results carefully observed and compiled. (Ford, 2008) This process is acute in cases where something serious- like the patient, life of the individual or a decision involving a major company operation is involved. The most pressing areas other than managerial or individual areas are to see if the decisions are right and are following proper ethics.

Ethical Decisions

The OODA loop contributes to the process of ethical decision making. It is based on the overall concepts, processes, and best practices of business along with integrating ethics in decisions. One of the important aspects of decision would be based on the nationality and nationality issues based on the country in which the person was born. Today the European Union has become a 'nation' with multiple sub-cultures. Today a student…

Clearly, the provisions of the DREAM Act would be of enormous benefit to the tens of thousand of undocumented Latino/Latina and Chicano students already living in the United States as well as the needs of the U.S. armed forces, but the act remains in legislative limbo at this time. Despite some initial hope following the election of President Barack Obama that the legislation would be fast-tracked for approval, particularly

Dream Act -- Immigration Controversy The "Dream Act" is legislation that was originally introduced to the U.S. Congress in 2001 and in 2009 it was re-introduced after being co-authored by Republican U.S. Senator Orin Hatch of Utah and Democrat U.S. Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois. Dream Act's Newest Proposal -- May 2011, Senate Bill 952 If Adolph Hitler and Eva Braun had somehow managed to make their way to the United States after World War II and had a child on American soil instead of killing themselves, the child of these hated foreigners would have automatically been an American citizen imbued with all of the rights and privileges afforded thereto. By very sharp contrast, children

DREAM Act: The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act is a proposal for a bipartisan regulation that deals with the tragedy that young people brought up in America have experienced with regards to the current immigration laws. While initial attempts to introduce this legislation can be traced back to as early as 2001, recent attempts have been fueled by President Obama's announcement of certain directives. In June 2012,

Immigration Reform and the Dream Act Regardless of one's individual political position, a study of immigration in modern America reveals that the current immigration system is not working. Preferential treatment of immigrants from some countries over immigrants from other countries and preferential treatment of high-wage immigrants combined with policies of active deportation reflect a reality that no longer exists in America. The reality is that there are huge numbers of undocumented
