Organizational Psychology
Recommend at least two strategies to create alliances between your selected virtual organization and its networked internal and external stakeholders.
The best approaches are to focus on various kinds of strategies to include: enhancing communication and conducting community related events. In the case of enhancing communication, this will occur through having different mediums that will allow external stakeholders to speak to anyone inside The Elias Group. This means that the email addresses of employees and decision makers will be listed on the website / organizational literature. (Ihlen, 2011)
At the same time, all telephone calls will be monitored to ensure that there is strong communication between employees and external stakeholders. Periodically, the calls will be evaluated for quality assurance and to ensure that everyone is satisfied with the services which are provided. Moreover, there will be a focus on implementing effective communication into the organizations policies and procedures. This will occur through having a series of training seminars that will teach staff members and managers about how to effectively work with different parties. Every year, there will be an annual review conducted that will evaluate the strengths of various individuals in these areas. (Ihlen, 2011)
When this takes place, there will be a transformation in how everyone is interacting with one another by improving communication. This will enhance the way employees and executives are working with external stakeholders. At the same time, these tools can be utilized to increase internal communication. This will occur through having staff members and managers collaborating on addressing a host of issues. These factors will create an environment that will force everybody to talk about their problems and troubleshoot them. In the future, this will address any kind of challenges while they are small. It will also ensure that different stakeholders understand contrasting viewpoints. This improves their ability to work with others and it increases their favorable perceptions of the organization. (Ihlen, 2011)
Conducting community related events is when different employees and executives will participate in volunteer programs. The basic idea with this approach is to reach out to individuals who are in need of the organization's assistance. Yet, they may not be aware of what the firm is doing or how they could benefit them. (Ihlen, 2011)
At the same time, having different staff members and managers working with these initiatives will lead to positive perceptions of The Elias Group. This will happen, when everyone sees how the firm is actively sponsoring and supporting activities that will benefit the community. Over the course of time, this will improve communication and collaboration between different groups with the organization. (Ihlen, 2011)
In the future, this will enhance relations between The Elias Group and these segments. This is the point that the firm can begin working with external stakeholders to address critical issues they are facing. As far as businesses are concerned, this is a critical tool that could help them to offset challenges they are facing in the local economy. For example, the federal government has been increasing spending in select areas and is offering contracts to private firms. The relationship that the business owner or its employees have with staff members is a critical factor that will lead to the firm helping them. This will occur with these favorable perceptions and ideas being used to establish improved channels of communication. When this takes place, the organization can understand the needs of external stakeholders and address them. (Ihlen, 2011)
