Peer Group Work

Working with a group of my peers has proved challenging in a number of ways. While we all got along, it was nearly impossible to agree on meeting times because everyone's schedule is erratic and different from everyone else's. We had to do a lot of our communications via phone or e-mail, which defeats the purpose of peer group work. When we eventually did meet, however, the sessions were highly productive, fun, and useful. I especially appreciate listening to the various points-of-view that differed from my own. Doing my part, such as writing the essay, was relatively easy compared to some of the logistical problems we had. Trying to get everyone together in the same room and keeping in touch in spite of our busy schedules were the most difficult aspects of peer group work.

A enjoyed writing the essay and will appreciate any and all feedback from my peers. I want them to be brutally honest and let me know how my writing can be improved. One of the main issues I was concerned about while writing was whether or not readers would get the point I was trying to make. I am concerned about clarity and making myself understood. I am also worried that the essay was not persuasive enough so I hope my peers will offer advice on how to improve the overall style and approach of the paper.
