As a ream leader and team manager, I was the interface for the relationship between the upper management of our organization and the team I was leading. That meant that I had to use my communication skills to pass on the messages both top-down and bottom-up, but also to make sure that the programming team understood what the challenges were, what was required of us etc.
In the technical world, this often translates both into oral and written communication. The written communication takes the form of technical documents and there is usually one necessary characteristic that technical documents need to have: clarity. I have always written clear technical documents that contain the instructions for the developing teams and I think that this is one of the qualities that I can be proud of: being able to send out clear oral and written instructions.
