Discuss the following questions in your discussion submission:
1. What pitfalls or obstacles contributed to James' lack of success?
The first obstacle was the lack of oversight as it relates to patient care. Here, James did not review the performance of the other nurses until it was too late. Here, it was difficult of James to course correct the staff behavior as he observed the deficiencies when they were too late. As a result of the improper oversight patients were not served adequately, and corrective action could not occur in a timely fashion (Ratna, 2019).
2. What delegation principles were broken?
Here, the oversight principles of delegation were broken. James was correct in delegating the tasks, but did not confirm their completion in a timely manner. Also it appears the instructions were either not provided clearly or the instructions received were not understood properly. In these instances, it would have been better for James to follow up with this staff to ensure they understood their job responsibilities for the day.
3. What would you have done differently, if you were James?
If I were James, I would first look to have a supervisor to oversea the progress being made by staff throughout the day. If one is not available, I would designate time in which to review the work progress of staff members throughout the day. In addition, I would look to hold a brief meeting to ensure that all staff members understand what needs to be completed by the end of the day and to report if they are having any difficulty completing the task. Here, the primary difference would be communication and its overall frequency (Graber, 2008).

Healthcare Management In today's healthcare environment, practice managers have to face important financial issues they did not struggle with 10 years ago. One of those is with the billing of healthcare, since so many different methods and options are appearing today (Morgan, 2012). healthcare environment, Palese et al. (2011) argue there is no effective data to support that patients' satisfaction is correlated with a nursing care. Moreover, there is evidence revealing uncertainty in the nursing care environment since there is lack of identification of caring consequences. While the patient's satisfaction has been linked with nurses' caring behaviors, however, there is no empirical evidence to support "the effect of caring on patient's satisfaction."
