Therefore, it is important that managers of the hospital support employees in their attempt to implement such programs. The lack of specific skills is another issue that inhibits the implementation process (Grol & Wensing, 1995). Quality Assurance programs refer to reaching certain quality standards that require numerous skills. It is difficult to successfully address these programs with reduced levels of skills. In addition to this, it is important to be motivated when implementing Quality Assurance programs in the hospital in order to ensure that employees make the necessary efforts.
The situation of patients is an important issue that must be taken into consideration when implementing Quality Assurance systems.
