The other aspect is that being that the teacher is in the profession that the survey covers, he is in the best position to give the honest answers and lastly the fact that self report inventory are given in terms of closed ended questions, he will not have to struggle to come up with an answer which may be incorrect or dishonest but will just pick from the multiple choices.
The forced choice rating come with some advantages for instance they are easy to enter, relatively easy to analyze, easy to present, there is quick turnaround, they are more reliable, the research bias is reduced and there is also high degree of anonymity. However, it also comes with some disadvantages for instance the questions are harder to construct as well as the response category, they may force invalid responses, there is less depth and substance in such answers. Here, the respondents are not able to clarify their answers or what they mean.

The above constructed survey tool seeking to know the attitude towards the state-wide assessment was a strong survey tool since it focused on the details surrounding the views of the teacher towards the assessment. It covered both the side of the teacher and the side of the students and the general public hence was well balanced.
