¶ … Nursing Practice
The CINAHL database provides an easy access for thousands of journals and articles in the field of nursing and allied health. Moreover, the CINAHL contains references to nursing journal articles from the United States, UK, and other countries. A search for articles and journals are carried out using the keywords and the process can bring out hundreds journal articles. Objective of the paper is to investigate the search strategy for the journal articles in the CINAHL database using the relevant keywords. (Mckibbon. & Marks, 1998).
In the search, the paper uses ProQuest Interface for the Nursing and Allied Health sources. The keywords used to carry out the search are as follows:
Hourly Nursing Rounds
Reduce Falls,
Pressure Ulcers, and Call Light Use, and Patient Satisfaction
When each of these keywords is typed in the CINAHL box, the CINAHL database delivers tremendous results. When the Hourly Nursing Rounds key words are typed in the CINAHL box, the database delivers 1,033 results. (Lawrence, 2007).
1B. First strategy to narrow the search is to use the left column of the CINAHL interface to refine the search. The paper can limit the search using the publication date, which can be narrowed between 2000 and 2015. The benefit of this approach is to identify the recent articles published within the specific date. The shortcoming of the approach is that the researcher may be unable to have access to wider publication. The use of Search with and/or Search with OR can also be used to narrow the search results. However, the use of AND for a search can assist in broadening the search results. (Royal College of Nursing, 2013).

A critical appraisal is the strategy of systematically assessing and interpreting a research study. In other words, the critical appraisal is an evidence-based practice that assists a researcher to determine whether the results of a study are reliable. The strategy used to perform the critical appraisal for my selected topic is by carrying out a systematic review, Randomized Controlled Trials, and Cross-sectional Analyses of the past studies to identify the quality study. The critical appraisal also assists in determining whether the study is valid. More importantly, the critical appraisal assists in assessing the quality of a research evidence, which assists in making a decision whether a research is good enough.

This paper uses the statistical test using quantitative technique to carry out the critical appraisal of the "Hourly nursing rounding help reduce fall, pressure ulcer, call light use and contribute to rise in patient satisfaction base of evidence base practice." (Lowe, & Hodgson, 2012 p 35). The paper will use the descriptive statistics to describe the basic features of the collected data and summarize the data in a manageable form. Moreover, the study uses the weighted mean, Confidence intervals and P- values as statistical values to carry out the critical appraisal for the research topic. The paper also uses the inferential statistics to reach the research conclusion.

The planning, communication and support are the key elements "of a successful implementation plan." (Tucker, Bieber, Attlesey-Pries et al. 2012 p 18). A planning starts from developing a relationship between the stakeholders and project staff. The strategy is by identifying the individual tasks of each activity, which form the basis of implementation. This next step is to use the available resources to support the implementation plan. Financial resources and manpower will be used for the implementation plan. Moreover, the computer software and hardware will be used for the implementation. The researcher will use the written description to communicate the research findings to the appropriate stakeholders.

The rationale behind achieving an evidence-based project is to achieve the research objectives using both qualitative and quantitative methods. More importantly, the evaluation tool is to determine whether the materials used for the research are appropriate, meaningful and feasible for the target population. (Jacobs, Jones, Gabella, et al. 2012). In essence, the meaningful the evaluation tool assists in delivering the valid and ethical research findings, which ultimately assists in enhancing effective patient care. (Bath-Hextall, Wharrad, & Leonardi-Bee, 2011).

The goal of reliability is to determine the extent the research results are accurate and consistence over time. Typically, the researcher aims to achieve reliability so that when the same study is carried using different instrument, the researcher will achieve the same result. In qualitative research, the reliability of the research shows that the results are repeatable if a retest is carried out using other qualitative research method. However, a rationale behind the validity is to ensure that that study truly measures what it intends to measure. (Golafshani, 2003).

The benefits of achieving evidence-based research is through a dissemination plan. One of the rationales of the dissemination is to synthesis, translate and exchange research outcome to strengthen the healthcare, improve practice decision and enhance an inform policy. The disseminating plan also assists in synthesizing the literature to enhance "thorough understanding of the research process." (Forsyth, Wright, Scherb, et al. 2010 p 17). The dissemination plan is also to assist healthcare professionals "to make decisions based on quality information regarding the effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness, of proposed healthcare interventions." (Bradley, 2010 p 1).

The experience in this course has assisted in enhancing a greater understanding of the strategy that can be employed in using both qualitative and quantitative techniques in carrying out the research outcomes. The study has also assisted in understanding the strategy to search for the quality nursing literatures from the CINAHL database to complete the nursing research. The combination of the skills will assist me to continue the nursing practice both at the academic and professional levels.
