Role of Management and the Forces Impacting the Functions The management is an important part of any organization and this is largely due to the functions that they play for the prosperity of the company. Effective management system is also an important facet of any organization for the success of that organization. This paper will discuss the patient roles that the management of any organization plays and the possible challenges that they may face in the process of accomplishing these functions.

The roles of the management include; decision making, this is a crucial role of the management since the decisions that are made will have a positive or negative impact on the organization and business at large. Sound decisions have to be made to ensure that the business registers profits as well as operates ethically in relations to their employees and other stakeholders Boulay, A. (1998).

Yet another role is the responsibility of planning as an aspect of management. This ranges from the planning of the daily activities of the organization, to the long-term plans as well as project management that need proper planning to be executed effectively. The management also gets involved in proper scenario planning for the organization as a safety measure to safeguard the future of the organization incase there are any unforeseen or unexpected hitches that may face the organization (North Umbria University, 2009).

Organizing is another function of the management in nay organization. This involves the concerned managers arranging work in a systematic manner...

It is through organizing that the management determines the tasks that need to be accomplished and at what time they need to be accomplished. It is also the management that will determine who will be made responsible for undertaking the particular task, the person to oversee the project and to whom the final report will be handed.
Another crucial function of the management is leading. This can be noted as the most crucial role of the management in relation to managing the human resources since without people, the accomplishments of the organization cannot take place. This role will help motivate the junior staff when done by a manager who is good in leading. This role helps in influencing and motivating the employees through effective communication and both the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation towards effective performance.

The management is also in charge of controlling after it has implemented the previously mentioned functions of planning, organizing, and leading. Here, the management is held responsible for evaluation of the progress of the assignments and work that was structured for a given period. The management is also responsible for rectifying and diversions from the original plan through constant monitoring, correcting and comparing since this is the rust of controlling as a responsibility of the organization (Rashid Javed, 2009).
