Unlike Michael's universal remote in Click, a universal remote will not let people go forward and backward in time. However, the universal remote will change our daily lives. One problem with existing remote controls is that they are poorly designed. The universal remotes currently available are too cluttered with buttons. Some controls do not work with some systems. The currently proposed product takes care of the clutter problem by working with software interfaces. Furthermore, the proposed remote control is fully customizable by the consumer. More than one universal remote can be programmed with the same parameters to allow several users in one household to have the same set of controls. Alternatively, two users in the same household can customize their own remotes. For example, parents might not want their children to be able to access their car keyless remote.

Project Summary

First we will gather a team of engineers to help in the research and development phase. We will need software engineers as well as hardware engineers. Engineers will help design the product for full functionality as well as ergonomics. Next, we will need to propose a standardization system that allows our remote control to be used with any applicable technology. Industry standardizations may be necessary at this phase. Finally, we will work with experts in the field of marketing...

...

We will determine how to best integrate our universal remote with existing technologies. We will also work with industry consortiums to demand standardization of wireless devices. Privacy and security issues will also be explored, because many consumers will be concerned about what might happen if they lose their universal remote. The use of a special password or even fingerprint scan could solve the security issues associated with the universal remote.
Conclusion universal remote has the power to transform the way we live our daily lives. We can control window shades, lights, and home appliances without having to run around the house. Instead of having five separate remote controls for one home theater system, the true universal remote will consolidate them all. If possible, the universal remote will also allow for the control of video game systems. We might not be able to control time like Michael did in Click. However, we can and should be able to control the technology we buy using a universal remote control.

The WRITE initiative was a collaborative approach that drew upon industry, state, local governments as well as the EPA's Risk Reduction Engineering Laboratory with the overall goal of developing more effective pollution prevention technologies that could assist the electronics manufacturing industry in developing a "crade to grave" approach to managing these products (Rappaport, 1999). Besides these earlier efforts, in more recent years, increasingly rigorous laws and regulations have been implemented

, 2009, p. 80). Even the smallest museums in some of the most out-of-the-way locations "can and do participate in the globalized arena," Holo explains. The leaders of these remote museums, for example the "indigenous communitarian museum leaders in the remote mountains of Oaxaca," who have zero staff, somehow go to meetings at very obscure locations, just to link up with others in the world of art (Holo, 80). However, when

Models of Media and Politics A review of media / political models sheds some light on why the United States' cultural themes have been such a dominant dynamic in Europe, among other global venues. In describing the three models of media and politics, Daniel C. Hallin and Paolo Mancini report that the media in Southern Europe (the "Mediterranean" or "Polarized Pluralist Model") is "an institution of the political and literary worlds"

Gaia Hypothesis and Daisy World The development of the Gaia Hypothesis is described with some emphasis on how the concept has evolved in response to other scientist's skepticism. The Gaia concept itself is described and discussed. A possible means for reconciliation of the holistic Gaia hypothesis with reductionist thinking is discussed. I conclude by summarizing what the paper has accomplished. The Gaia Hypothesis was first published by James E. Lovelock in 1972

Poverty and Healthcare The complex interplay between poverty and healthcare has been a topic of concern for social scientists, healthcare professionals, and policymakers worldwide. The impact of poverty on access to healthcare, the quality of services received, and the overall health outcomes of impoverished populations is profound and multifaceted. Poor health can be both a cause and a consequence of poverty, creating a cyclical relationship that can be difficult to break

marketing -- Test marketing is a way to take a specific group and test the viability of a product or service for that group. This may be done in many ways, through focus groups, home use, trials, short or long tests. There are numerous advantages and disadvantages to test markets. For our purposes, three disadvantages are: Lack of broad enough test -- the product may be a prototype and not
