The impact of change is almost always resisted within group dynamics and the case scenario where a change has been identified in attempt to improve an Early Childhood Program will also meet some resistance when proposing changes. Assessments are an important part of childhood development and there are multiple models that can add knowledge and understanding towards a child's development for both teachers and parents. It is important, if resources are available to present a balanced assessment of the child's development that may include both formal and informal approaches.

The ideas about giving time was very important as the need to blend the formal and informal assessments into a cohesive system may take time. The author suggested "it takes time to settle in to a new program or school.

Allow yourself time to adjust to your surroundings and the colleagues, children, and parents you will come to interact with on a daily basis." In order to infuse these two systems of assessment, it will take an effort that must be rooted in education itself. As a leader it is my duty to educate and inform all members in that culture of the importance of formal assessment models and their need to be included in the new system of operations.

Showing respect for others and keeping a good sense of humor will also.
