The best way to describe someone who is truly virtuous is to imagine a person that puts the needs of others above the needs of himself, even while at the same time that person will be attempting to cultivate himself to the best extent possible. The Confucian ideal suggest that self-determination and progress is desirable, but at the same time every act should be undertaken to achieve harmony and this sometimes comes at the expense of an individual's personal desires. The Confucian idea of virtue suggests that a man should aspire to cultivate and increase his own virtue, but at the same time he may gain power over another by participating in virtuous acts. Naturally the Westerner would assume that this would mean that the person performing virtuous acts has the potential to transform this power into something negative. If however, the virtuous person is truly living their life in a manner that is in line with Confucian idealism, they will be...

...

Their virtuosity will in a sense 'rub off' on the recipients of their kind acts, and the person doing the actual act will gain more virtuosity in the process.
From these examples we can see that virtue is not as simple as it at first seems. It has as Confucian scholars suggest the potential to be both good and bad, though ultimately "de" is something that by very nature is powerful and good when used for the common benefit of all mankind. Man by nature has the power to acquire more power over himself and others, but in a way that is beneficial to mankind as a whole using virtue and by conducting acts that are virtuous in nature.

What is intrinsic regarding this definition of evil is the value that ressentiment has upon it. Ressentiment is a term widely used by Nietzsche and other philosophers (such as Kierkegaard) to refer to the notion of resentment -- which can take many forms including jealousy and other forms of subjugation -- influencing a particular moral perception. Because the weak were oppressed by and opposed to the depredation of the strong,

Virtue Ethics: The Good and the Bad About Virtue Ethics The philosophy of virtue ethics holds that being a 'good person' or what one might call 'character' is the most important determinant of moral action. Virtue ethics is considered to be one of the major philosophical orientations in the field of normative ethics, along with consequentialism and deontology (Hursthouse 2010). Many consider it to be the oldest form of ethics, harkening

.. The superior man is broad and fair; the inferior man takes sides and is petty... A superior man shapes the good in man; he does not shape the bad in him. It is said that a disciple once asked Confucius to define the conduct of one's entire life with a single word. The Chinese philosopher replied: "Is not reciprocity such a word? What you do not want done to yourself

This will allow someone to move beyond the different emotions, so that they can be able to see how the different actions will affect the world around them. Despite some of the obvious weaknesses, you can be able to determine the most appropriate course of action, by asking questions and gaining more information. Once this achieved, you will have a greater sense of enlightenment, because you were able to

Mental breakdown and psychological distress also follow. Good leaders are effective communicators and have the empathy to read warning signs of mental breakdown. They are able to address mental health situations before they start. You will know bad leadership when you see it. Organizations that are run poorly suffer from the same types of problems including inefficiency, poor financial performance and high incidence of workplace injury and mental health problems.

Virtue Ethics This ethical philosophy draws back from the thought and work of the ancient and great Greek philosopher Aristotle (Brown, 2001; SPI, n.d.; Fahey, 2010). The philosophy centers on persons who are moral agents themselves, rather than from their actions or their consequences. A person lives an ethical or the good life if he possesses a right character, also know as virtues. As such he possesses a moral character, according
