Why I Want To Go To University Of North Carolina Wilmington Essay

¶ … fall, it is my intention to attend the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. UNC Wilmington is my first choice among schools because it has the right mix of education, social, climate and setting. What I appreciate most is the UNC-Wilmington approach to learning, where the school seeks to offer a high end education that rivals research-first schools. Having such an excellent education in a student-focused school is a major attraction for me, since I want to be in a place where my studies come first. Academically, my strengths are in mathematics and sciences. This means that I can contribute to the academic excellence of the student body in a number of ways, although my preference is to study either occupational or physical therapy. I know that the biology department at UNCW is strong, as are many of the other science departments, and that is an important draw for me....

I see UNCW's strong faculty as something that will help me to maximize my potential. As I believe that I will deliver excellence in all of my endeavors, I want to be in a place and learning under faculty that share my outlook. Being able to have a high level of interaction with the faculty as an undergraduate is a high priority for me.
I see my current interests as opening up a number of amazing career options. When I decide on my major, I will set myself on a life course that will bring me tremendous success. Earning my education at an institution such as UNC Wilmington will only help me to achieve all of my goals and dreams. I see university as a very important step along the path to lifelong success, and if I am given the opportunity to succeed at UNCW, I will never forget that.
